An indirect air carrier (IAC) is a company that arranges air transportation of cargo and tenders that cargo to an air carrier on a shipper’s behalf. IACs operate under the U.S. Transportation Security Administration’s air-cargo security framework, following an approved security program for accepting, screening, and handing off freight to the airlines.
In practice, that means RS Group handles the pieces around the flight itself: preparing and documenting the shipment, getting it to the gateway airport, coordinating with the carrier, and arranging the ground move on the delivery end. You get a single point of contact for an air move instead of stitching together a trucker, an airline, and a delivery agent yourself.
