Standard Freight

Refrigerated (reefer) freight.

Some freight has to arrive at the same temperature it left. Our refrigerated shipping keeps food, pharmaceuticals and other perishables in their required range the whole way — matched to carriers who treat the cold chain as the job, not an add-on.

What is refrigerated freight?

Refrigerated freight — "reefer" freight — moves temperature-sensitive goods in a trailer with its own refrigeration unit, holding a set temperature range from pickup to delivery. It is essential for anything that spoils or degrades outside a narrow band: fresh and frozen food, pharmaceuticals and vaccines, medical supplies, cosmetics, and other perishables.

Keeping the cold chain intact takes more than a cold trailer. It takes pre-cooling, the right setpoint, proper loading and airflow, and a carrier that monitors the temperature in transit. RS Group matches your shipment to reefer carriers who do exactly that, so your product arrives in the condition it left.
